New research from the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital finds that even though 84% of parents of 9-11 year-olds agree that “children benefit from having free time without adult supervision,” only 33% of parents of 9-11 year-olds would let them walk or bike to a friend’s house.
And yet, many of our children have access to devices that give them unlimited access to violent images, disturbing content, and worse.
This is very much a modern-day parenting paradox. Join me to learn how what’s scary often drives us to inadvertently give our kids access to what’s dangerous - and what we can do about it.
